Bundle up, New York—Jonas is on its way. While the East Coast has seen an unseasonably warm start to winter, this weekend’s forecast holds a “blizzard for the ages.” Winter Storm Jonas is expected to develop into a major snowstorm beginning tonight and last through the weekend, potentially blanketing New York with a foot of snow. If you’re planning on holing up in your apartment or braving the elements, these tech companies will help you get through this winter’s first big storm.

SeeSo

Don’t feel like venturing into the snowy streets of New York City? New video streaming site SeeSo will keep you entertained all weekend long. The ad-free streaming comedy channel is free to try and offers a combination of NBC-late night shows (Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, etc), comedies series (30 Rock, The Office, Parks and Recreation, etc.) and a rotating lineup of comedy films.

In case of a power outage courtesy of Jonas, you can create your own off-grid network in under a minute using goTenna. goTenna is a cognitive digital radio combined with an app that generates its own signal and automatically coordinates with other units within range. If cell coverage and Wifi is spotty this weekend, you can activate goTenna technology by pulling the antenna out, then wirelessly pairing your iPhone or Android device via Bluetooth.

Another lifesaver in the event of a power outage this weekend is the Biolite Nanogrid, which doubles as a flashlight and power source. The Nanogrid uses the same battery technology as the Tesla Model S. The device can refill an iPhone’s power up to five times and provide flashlight functionality for up to 72 hours.

If you live in New York, chances are you’ve used Seamless once or twice or 100 times. This weekend, the app may come in hand more than ever. Seamless allows you to easily order food directly from your smartphone, and will deliver straight to your door.

If the blizzard puts a damper on your bar-hopping plans, make the alcohol come to you. Using MiniBar, you can get wine, beer and liquor delivered to your door in under an hour.
