5 NYC tech companies hungry for seasoned sales sharks

Sales teams at tech companies attract a certain type of person. They tend to be the sorts of people who can talk themselves out of (or into) just about any situation. They're hungry, ambitious, creative and, above all else, in it for the sale. They see the full potential of a company's product and are experts at conveying that to others — especially those with budget. If that sounds like you, here are five 5 NYC tech companies that want to meet you.

Director, National Accounts - NY

What they do: Progyny’s mission — apart from coming up with creative ways to spell progeny — is to empower people who want to have a baby. Amongst other things, they provide patients with price transparency, access to top fertility doctors and financing. They’re a tech company that specializes in getting people knocked up efficiently, safely and inexpensively.

What you’ll sell: You’ll be accountable for establishing, cultivating and servicing their larger employer clients.

Who they’re looking for: Someone with at least five years of strategic and consultative experience in the insurance industry and a proven track record of working with senior-level executives.

Enterprise Account Executive

What they do: InVision is a hugely popular design collaboration platform. Companies of all sizes use InVision to build a design-driven product. And, when I say all sizes, I mean all the way up to the really big players like Uber, Evernote, Twitter, Adobe, and Salesforce. It’s also worth noting that InVision provides their sales team members with a gym membership, an unlimited Starbucks card and unlimited books from Amazon — so you can get all jacked up and read whatever you want on the elliptical.

What you’ll sell: You’ll be working on their quickly growing enterprise sales efforts.

Who they’re looking for: Someone with at least three years of inside sales experiences in the B2B SaaS vertical.

Director, Enterprise Solutions Delivery

What they do: Yotpo is a customer content marketing platform that lets customers make the most out of user-generated content. Sound complicated right? If not, keep reading, because it's going to be your job to explain it.

What you’ll sell: You’ll be in charge of onboarding, management and post-sales relationships with the company’s largest enterprise accounts.

Who they’re looking for: Someone with at least 10 years of experience managing complex technical business solutions and five years of experience managing a remote team.

Director of Channel Sales

What they do: littleBits makes a platform of small, electronic building blocks that anyone can use creatively to build, well, whatever they want.

What you’ll sell: You’ll be in charge of driving sales among littleBits’ network of U.S. and Canadian retailers, resellers and distributors.

Who they’re looking for: Someone with at least seven years of experience in account management, marketing or partner development.

Director, Business Development - Mobile Publishing

What they do: Verve is a location-based mobile marketing platform connecting advertisers and consumers. The company just raised $30 million in June, so now's the time to get onboard.

What you’ll sell: You’ll be building and maintaining relationships with the big-wigs of the mobile publishing world. Once you've made said relationships, you'll be making new, qualified partnerships with them.

Who they’re looking for: Someone with at least five years of experience in a business development role — especially as related to mobile integrations, digital ad agencies, ad serving, yield optimization or other related technologies. A degree from a top university is also a expected.
