Intro to Natural Language Processing, January 9th at 6:30 p.m.

Data scientist Lesley Cordero is going to be giving an introduction to data science. The session will cover all the basics, including the data science toolkit and some information about what the industry looks like right now.

Meet investors, present deals, January 10th at 6 p.m.

This event is all about connecting good projects that need funding with investors. There will be some time for networking, as well as ten, five-minute presentations and a Q&A. You can present on whatever you want but click the link above for a list of the sorts of projects that usually receive funding.

Brunchwork with Foursquare, January 10th at 6:30

A midnight, mimosa-fueled farm-to-table brunch catered by Ox Verte and a fireside chat with Foursquare founder Dennis Crowley make this event pretty much a must-do. There will even be a series of curated connections, where you’ll be introduced to the people you want to meet. Sign up quickly, however, as tickets are almost sold out.

A Night to Network: Yotpo New Years Style, January 11th at 7 p.m.

Sure, New Years has long since passed, but Yotpo is determined to keep the party going. This networking event will be an opportunity to meet Yotpo's sales team and hear about job opportunities at the company.

IoT Day with Techstars IoT, January 12th at 1:30 p.m.

Techstars IoT companies are going to be demoing and discussing how the Internet of Things is changing the business models of legacy companies. Highlights include a Job Fair at 5:45 and a Pitch Session at 6:30 p.m. Seating is first come, first serve and will sell out — so plan accordingly.

That's it for this week. Check out the events page for a full listing of everything happening in NYC tech.
