While startup companies are often known for their non-traditional perks — which can range from free breakfasts to ping pong tables — classic benefits can be harder to come by.

New York-based tech companies are starting to offer retirement plans like 401(k)s to their employees, and even matching employees’ contributions. If you’re looking to start saving, check out these five startups taking 401(k)s seriously.

Bitly is a URL shortening service, used primarily on social networks, email and SMS platforms. All employees at the company receive a 401(k) plan that’s matched by the company, as well as stock options, commuter benefits and full health coverage.

Saavn is a streaming service for Indian music. Since the company was founded in 2007, it has acquired the rights to over 30 million music tracks. Saavn also counts over 150 employees on its team, to which it offers a 401(k) matching plan, full health coverage, a discounted gym membership and free lunches.

LiveAuctioneers’ platform allows people to bid in auctions around the world at any time, whether they’re looking to purchase unique antiques, collectibles, jewelry or artwork. Some of LiveAuctioneers’ employee perks include a company-matched 401(k), health insurance and dental insurance and regularly catered lunches.

Appboy is a mobile marketing automation platform allowing marketers to manage the lifecycle of their customers and increase mobile engagement. Along with a 401(k) matching plan, Appboy employees get life insurance, commuter benefits, generous parental leave, daily catered lunches, health insurance, equity and a flexible time off policy.

LearnVest is a personal finance platform that provides customized planning to help users manage debt, save money and retire comfortably. The company offers all of its employees a 401(k) match as well as a pension program, in addition to perks like full medical coverage, tuition reimbursement, commuter benefits, a company dodgeball team and frequent catered lunches.
