Stop counting sheep and let this new sleep tech startup do it for you

The city that never sleeps might finally get some rest. This week, New York-based startup Tomorrow launched with a suite of products that promise to help you get those sacred eight hours every night.

Tomorrow, backed by Serta Simmons Bedding, produces a system that includes a sleep tracker equipped with bio sensors and a smart alarm system. You know that anxious feeling you get when your alarm jolts you out of a deep sleep? This technology will make sure you never feel that way again.

“Whether you’re in light sleep, deep sleep or REM, our Sleeptracker® monitor knows how much time you spend in each stage and offers feedback and tips to help you improve your sleep,” said Founder and President Bryan Murphy. “You’ll be woken up at the right time in your sleep cycle to ensure you feel refreshed.”

In addition to the tracker and smart alarm, Tomorrow’s 80-person team also offers the entire package of sleep essentials, including mattresses, pillows, bedding and more.

“Because we design and manufacture our mattress in-house, we were able to create these innovative products and sell them at an incredible value that wouldn’t be possible in brick and mortar stores,” added Murphy.

By now, you know the healing power of a restful night’s sleep. Eight hours of shut-eye can grant you benefits that go far beyond any beauty or wellness product. Unfortunately, it can be tough to get to bed at a reasonable hour, and sleeping conditions aren’t always conducive to rest — especially for those in major cities like New York.

“Being in New York City allows us to connect directly with the Tomorrow customer: someone who values wellness and is either already aware of the essential, restorative powers of sleep, or is interested in different ways they can optimize their everyday lives,” said Murphy. “We’re also excited to be a part of the thriving NYC startup community, where so much innovation and progress is happening.”

That said, the sleep system isn’t limited to the city that never sleeps. The company is direct-to-consumer, meaning everyone with access to the web can also enjoy a restorative, comfortable night’s rest.
