Localization Production Manager
About the Role:
WeWork is looking for an experienced Localization Production Manager to lead & grow the l10n project management operations & group at WeWork. This person has a track record of managing successful l10n production programs and cross functional partnerships with product, engineering, & localization vendors, as well as a track record of managing successful teams. The Production Manager will possess strong communication and strategic operational skills & will work with a variety of global WeWork stakeholders. The Production Manager will play a key role in architecting the future of Localization at WeWork.
About the Team:
The Globalization team at WeWork is responsible for producing high quality localized content in over 28 languages for 400K (and rapidly growing) WeWork members worldwide; this includes the localization of a variety of WeWork applications, websites, and member facing communications.
Responsibilities:
- You will directly manage a team of Localization Project Managers
- You will apply advanced G11n subject matter knowledge to make strategic recommendations for the growth of this team
- Measure improvements and impact of changes to process / products to audit impact and perform necessary course corrections where needed to meet global business objectives
- Partner with other teams to source, allocate, and coordinate resources to further drive scalable product localization at WeWork
- Own creation of & change management processes for all localization production processes, tools, services, & corresponding roadmaps & documentation
- Serve as a localization quality subject matter expert & build & evangelize best practices around l10n support at WeWork
- Be accountable for tools acquired / built that assist all product teams in their I18n & L10n efforts
- Collaborate on the vision of supporting our users globally in their desired language throughout all of our member facing applications
- Help team members grow as G11n professionals through teaching and mentoring
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in business strategy, product development, finance, and / or advanced analytics and managing a cross-functional team & program
- Minimum of 5 years directly in G11n / I18n / L10n project or program management
- Experience leading & effectively managing complex operations that are highly reliable & scalable
- Extensive experience delivering software & online products to global markets
- Experience working with industry standard software & concepts including TMS (translation management systems), CAT (Computer-Aided Translation) tools, TMs (translation memories), glossaries, and common localization file formats
- Ability to think strategically & execute methodically
- Ability to work in a fast-paced & rapidly changing environment
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that will enable you to earn trust at all levels
- Proven experience of managing products, budgets, and justifying resource needs to senior leaders and finance partners
- Advanced degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field

- Technical experience and product development experience a plus
- Experience using tools to capture user stories, test cases, sign-offs, etc. JIRA is preferred
- Fluency in 2+ languages
