Accounts Payable Associate
The Accounts Payable Associate will assist in day-to-day activities associated with the procurement and accounts payable functions. Recently, the Company has moved towards processing/approving invoices electronically via Coupa. As a result, there is an increased need to drive additional value from the P2P function. The key areas of focus will include expanding the usage of purchase orders and pre-approval of spend, electronic supplier enablement, third-party vendor payments, and driving additional efficiencies. This role requires someone who can both perform the data entry day-to-day tasks of a payables assistant and provide subject matter suggestions into developing and enhancing the department moving forward. Tasks include:
- Assist in identifying and delivering enhancements to Coupa Procure-to-Pay and Netsuite AP platforms that drive the efficiency of P2P processes.
- Assist in identifying and implementing solutions for delivering additional value such as early payment discounts.
- Assist in creating dashboards, scorecards, and other reports that drive awareness of cost reduction opportunities and enable key decision-making.
- Assist in processing and validating invoices requiring payment with various payment methods.
- Assist employees and vendors with questions regarding invoice status, reporting, and training.
- Support supplier enablement effort by approving vendor requests and ensuring suppliers receive electronic POs and submit electronic invoices.
- Assist with day-to-day responsibilities associated with processing purchase orders, vendor invoices, procurement system expansion, and enabling suppliers.
Requirement
- BA or BS in Business Administration, Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including VBA required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Technologically savvy with the ability pick up many different platforms. Experience with NetSuite and Coupa a plus.
- Basic understanding of how a purchasing/payables system works
- Ability to comprehend purpose of task, and anticipate next steps within the big picture
