We are currently seeking a Manager for Accounts Payable. This person will be responsible for reviewing and auditing invoices, reconciling credit card transactions and performing month end accruals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with general ledger systems, internal controls, procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.

Responsibilities
 


  • Manage and conduct Accounts Payable activities of processing payment of invoices in a timely and accurately manner

  • Run payments on a weekly basis including check, ACH, ETF, or credit card

  • Review and audit invoices for appropriate documentation, including contract, proper approval and coding, adherence to policy in accordance with expense policies and process

  • Audit and reconcile credit card transactions/bills, as well as post JEs

  • Perform required month end accruals, AP reconciliation and bank reconciliations

  • Review employee expense reports in accordance with the Company's travel and expense reimbursement policy

  • Responsible for full cycle accounts payable, vendor relationships, review aging reports weekly, un-invoiced receipts report, etc.

  • Respond to and resolve inquiries/issues involving vendor payment discrepancies, account status, adjustments and differences, etc.

  • Provide customer service to external vendors, and employees of the company

  • Assist in preparing reports or returns, including 1099 are required by State or Federal agencies

  • Participate in monthly and quarterly close process and ensure proper accounting treatment

  • Participate in the annual and interim internal and external audits

  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices

  • Maintain internal control procedure, accounting policies and audit requests to enforce policy compliance and report on noncompliance

  • Maximize system resources and improve efficiency and productivity.

  • Ensure that global Accounts Payable policies and procedures are followed, communicated, maintained and monitored within the organization and with external vendors.

  • Skill development /training for AP team to maximize application and individual productivity

  • Participate in ERP system implementation, identify transform issues and provide suggestions.

Qualification

Background


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field

  • 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including previous in a supervisory role

  • Strong background with the full Accounts Payable cycle within a corporate accounting or finance function; experience in high volume payable.

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems, internal controls, procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures

Skills


  • Proficiency with a financial reporting system, QuickBooks and ERP system experience preferred.

  • High level of proficiency using Excel.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, operate within tight deadlines, and escalate issues as necessary.

  • Strong accounting skills and ability to analyze data and identify trends.

  • Well-organized, extreme attention to detail and a self-directed individual.

  • Strong people and customer service skills, advocate positive working relationships among internal and external customers.

  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal
