As our Assistant Controller, you will own all aspects of our monthly close process, preparation of financial statements and accounting policies. Reporting to the Controller and working in a small team, you will drive process improvements to shorten the close cycle, interpret business decisions into GAAP compliant financials, develop reporting and analysis to support a rapidly growing business and evolving product portfolio. You will work closely with senior business partners and financial planning team to inform and shape the organizations strategic business decisions

Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller:

  • Develop, evolve, communicate, and manage a timely and efficient close process (
  • Work with Controller, accounting team and auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
  • Lead successful transition from Quickbooks to Netsuite
  • Review and approve journal entries and schedules prepared by junior staff members
  • Prepare appropriate variance analysis and review with CFO and executive leadership team
  • Monitor and research new GAAP pronouncements and evaluate their impact on the company
  • Provide guidance and development to staff regarding accounting procedures and policies

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Accounting
  • 6+ years in general accounting experience
  • Proven Expertise of GAAP
  • CPA 
  • Prior experience with Quickbooks/Netsuite (strong system skills)
