Flatiron Health’s mission is to serve cancer patients and our customers by dramatically improving treatment and accelerating research. Our team is building a disruptive, oncology-specific software platform that connects cancer centers across the world on a common technology infrastructure to address key healthcare challenges.

Flatiron Research was started in 2014 with the goal of serving cancer patients by accelerating research. We believe that existing clinical research paradigms are ill-equipped to answer the research questions that face drug developers, academic researchers, and regulators in the oncology space today. By focusing on technology solutions that can be deployed widely across the Flatiron network of providers, Flatiron Research has the opportunity to generate insights that were previously impossible.
Today, Flatiron Research is focused on innovating in the Real-World Evidence (RWE) space. Our technology-first approach has allowed us to build RWE data sets with higher quality, accuracy, recency, and scale than any other data set that is available. We have active partnerships with top-tier academic medical centers, 11 of the top 13 oncology biopharma companies, and the FDA, all focused on using RWE to answer critical questions quickly and safely.

The Life Sciences Partnerships team supports our biopharma partners in advancing their research priorities using RWE and other relevant Flatiron Research offerings. This team is looking for brilliant Associates who are excited about changing the world of oncology and healthcare. This job requires a sharp analytical mind, client management and organizational skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for tackling one of the most complex medical and technological challenges of our time.

Responsibilities:
  • Support Flatiron’s strategic approach to long term partnerships with biopharma users of our research offerings, as well as other strategic collaborators (e.g., government / regulatory, advocacy groups)
  • Become a subject matter expert on Flatiron’s offerings and reliably represent our capabilities to advance the research priorities of our biopharma partners
  • Support our partners in their use of Flatiron’s research offerings by facilitating data and analytical onboarding sessions, identifying value-added opportunities for RWE and supporting onsite client meetings to collect feedback and support use cases (anticipated travel: ~20%)
  • Support development of new business proposals -- directly contributing to Flatiron revenues across the Research business
  • Support development of internal team processes and look for opportunities to improve existing processes
  • Act as the voice of the customer across internal functional groups (product, research oncology, quantitative science, engineering, business development, legal and finance team members) as a key influencer of go-to-market strategy
Requirements:
  • You have a B.A. or B.S. (preferred discipline in biologic sciences, engineering, biostatistics, health economics or similar) from a top university
  • You have 2+ years of data analysis experience in client-facing roles of increasing responsibility, delivering products, services or analyses to life science companies, in organizations such as:
    • Healthcare focused analytics firm
    • Health tech firm
    • Top 5 consulting firm
    • Boutique life sciences consulting firm
  • You are involved in different innovative projects in the healthcare industry, ideally oncology, that involve managing project timelines, data analyses, supporting client communication and cross-functional team collaboration
  • You’re interested in engaging directly with biopharma partners to help advance their research and business related strategies
  • You are flexible, have a start-up mindset, enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • You have the ability to juggle multiple client interactions and deadlines simultaneously
  • You have exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • You have the agility to work across and develop relationships with diverse, cross-functional teams
  • You embrace the use of new software applications with a command of MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • You have the following traits
    • Data driven
    • Detail-oriented
    • Strong desire to develop content expertise (e.g., RWE, clinical oncology, HEOR)
    • Proactive, self-motivated and self-directed
    • Engaging, personable, positive attitude
    • Comfortable with ambiguity
Bonus Points:
  • Past experience analyzing data using a statistical programming language (e.g., SQL, R, SAS, SPSS)
  • Experience analyzing real world clinical data (e.g., claims, EMR)
  • Experience owning client relationships
  • Oncology experience
