ROLE:

  • Primary point of contact for Saavn’s Advertisers, media buyers and agencies
  • Work with product development team to communicate Advertiser needs/requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conceptualize digital sales strategies and solutions to address client’s challenges
  • Procure strategic, integrated deals from major brand advertisers
  • Respond to agency Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Write, develop, adapt, and present sales proposals and presentations
  • Present and negotiate deal-terms to senior decision makers; close deals
  • Stay on top of the trends in a rapidly changing media market and clients’ industries
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through exceptional customer service
  • Lead forecasted sales objectives through proper account management
  • Create pricing and packaging strategies which maximize inventory and deliver value
  • Keep senior management informed on all issues and performance against planned goals
  • Use both qualitative and quantitative research to support benefits of associating with Saavn
  • Provide consistent communication with Ad Ops, Client Services, and Finance
  • Meet with staff on a regular basis to provide leadership and ensure organization is on plan
  • Manage accounts to achieve outside individual sales goals as well as vertical team goal
  • Prospect, cold call, network, and research new customers and potential clients

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience
  • Minimum of 4-6 years experience in interactive ad sales with a track record of successfully managing client relations
  • Must have a strong rolodex of relationships with agencies and clients
  • Skill set must include fluency in solution selling, pricing, inventory control, brand building, etc.
  • Fluency with online advertising sales, pricing, inventory control, brand building initiatives, promotion, and planning
  • Experience and ability with mentoring and training junior staff
  • Ability to generate a minimum of $1MM in sales revenue in first 12 months
  • Have the ability and willingness to prospect, cold call, negotiate, and close deals
  • Have a sound understanding of current online advertising trends and various advertising metrics
  • Experience with the internet and high-tech industry
  • Excellent communications skills including ability to communicate clearly, professionally, both verbally and written, and at a level suitable for a variety of audiences
  • Excellent listening skills, inquisitive, positive, team-oriented, enthusiastic approach
