We are seeking a Business Development Associate to join our team. The Mark43 Business Development Associate is passionate about implementing the next generation of law enforcement technologies. This role involves all aspects of presales and sales operations and requires a deep understanding of the end user, buyer, and competition ecosystem.

You will be involved with lead generation and qualification as well as pursuing opportunities through Marketing channels and product demos. With a strong understanding of each client type and their buying habits, you will pitch a targeted and compelling value proposition to qualify prospective clients for the sales team. Additionally, you’ll be working to ensure systems and processes are in place to maximize efficiency and communication within the team and company.

What you can expect to work on

  • Maintaining and endeavoring to enhance effective lead generation strategy through inbound lead follow-ups and outbound calls and emails
  • Performing regular comprehensive searches of potential opportunities and source new sales
  • Managing and owning CRM tools and work to enhance sales operations to position Mark43 for rapid scaling
  • Adapting to and thriving in a rapidly changing early-stage startup environment
  • Developing a deep understanding of Mark43’s value proposition, the competitive landscape, and buyers’ needs and requirements to deliver an effective pitch of the Mark43 platform

What we expect from you

  • Passion for supporting law enforcement, first responders, and other government agencies
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B SaaS inside sales; government sales experience preferred
  • BA/BS from an accredited university required
  • Meticulous organizational skills and the capacity to manage many leads and opportunities
  • Fluency in Google applications, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce
  • Continually seeking opportunities for improving team performance through thoughtful examination of processes, technology systems/tools, and personnel
  • Willingness to empathize with users who may be unlike yourself
  • Coming to work with an open mind and leaving your ego at the door
  • Ownership over your own work and a commitment to every part of a task, from big picture to small details
  • An attitude that is self-motivated, humble, detail oriented, and committed to quality
