The jobThe Business Development team at Justworks supports the sales organization by forming revenue-generating partnerships to fill the top of the sales funnel, also known as channel sales. Business Development deals involve new and creative ways of finding customers, with no two deals exactly alike. This role takes a variety of skill sets, interfacing with current and prospective partners, being data driven with an operational mindset.
As Business Development’s first hire, this person must be entrepreneurial, nimble and adapt quickly to change. This is an opportunity for someone who is hands-on, entrepreneurial and likes building things. It is a combination of managing a current book of business and pursuing new potential partners.
What you'll do- Maintain relationships with current partners - help with troubleshooting and pipeline management
- Assist with new market expansion by sourcing and activating partners in those regions
- Create partner-facing content and collateral with the marketing team
- Work closely with the events team on planning and executing partner events
- Liaise with the Customers Success team and Account Executives on trainings and partner materials
- Improve business development effectiveness by working with Sales Operations through salesforce and other sales enablement tools
- Screen and engage with inbound partner inquiries to evaluate new partnership opportunities
- Build attribution and reporting for partners and internal stakeholders, such as finance
- 1-3 years experience in sales or related field
- Tech or SMB experience preferred
- You love engaging with and talking to people (extrovert). It drives you and gives you energy
- Relationship “soft” skills, especially with high-value, enterprise partners
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management, organizational and analytical skills
- Must have experience with Salesforce
