 About the Job

We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to join the Communications team at our office located in NYC. An exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced environment, this position will work closely with the Public Relations Manager and VP of Communications to assist in the overall communications strategy for FanDuel, providing administrative support to the team and performing other related duties as required.

What you'll do

  • Write and update press releases and other press and marketing materials
  • Help with planning internal and external events working with Events team to provide logistical support
  • Organize and maintain industry conference/events/awards calendar and help identify opportunities to place key executives at events that will support greater company objectives
  • Monitor industry news and flag issues and trends and relevant coverage, track and maintain media coverage
  • Assist in brainstorming ideas on ways to leverage FanDuel initiatives
  • Serve as liaison with other departments (product, engineering, legal) when necessary
  • Provide other administrative support, as needed

Who we're looking for

  • Past internship experience at a PR agency or in-house for a large sports brand
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must read the news every day
  • Fearless in picking up a phone and calling reporters
  • Hungry for knowledge (and food helps, we have a stocked kitchen)
  • Thoughtful and excited for a challenge
