The Compliance Officer will ensure various components of the company's information systems and personnel procedures are followed according to internal and external requirements and good practices. These tasks are part of the ongoing supervision of all levels of business and IT operations required for a thorough and successful Compliance program.

Responsibilities
  • Work with internal groups (IT, Sales, HR, etc.) to meet and achieve Compliance-related goals and requirements.
  • Provide answers to external parties via RFPs, RFIs, etc.
  • Perform audits of external clients to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Strategically track and monitor internal items, tasks, and projects required for business and Compliance goals.
  • Evaluate specific items for risk and present remediative steps to lower or remove the risk, as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and modify existing practices and policies to reflect the company's operations and values within specific industry-standard frameworks.
  • Supporting internal staff with Compliance-related questions and topics.
  • Contribute to recurring required tasks relating to standard practices and audits.
  • Develop, maintain and execute Security Awareness training programs
Skills
  • 2+ years compliance experience within a technology or financial services company
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with collaborative productivity systems in an office environment (such as Google Apps/GSuite and communication apps)
  • Experience with SSAE 16/SOC type 2 certification, ISO 27001, HITRUST certifications required 
  • Regulatory knowledge, including data handling policies and procedures within and outside of the U.S. a plus
  • Interest or background in Accounting/ Forensics a plus
