The Content Marketing Manager will be an integral member of our collaborative marketing team. He/she will develop a keen understanding of our customers and buyers, and will work closely with marketing colleagues and subject-matter experts within the company to produce original content to educate and engage our target audience of digital publishers, broadcasters, developers and agencies.

This person should be a skilled copywriter who will guard and develop our brand voice. He/she should have an interest in technology and innovation, and a strong understanding of digital marketing best practices and emerging trends for a B2B environment.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to generate a continuous stream of high-quality content ideas that align with business objectives
  • Create white papers, ebooks, case studies (and other formats you may recommend!) with compelling calls-to-action to drive awareness and leads
  • Craft thought-leadership pieces to be submitted as bylines to industry publications
  • Partner with subject matter experts at JW Player to write and/or edit frequent blog posts that reinforce the company’s thought leadership position in the space.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Digital Strategy, and Demand Gen colleagues to develop content for email marketing campaigns and nurture programs, as well as initiatives related to the website
  • Assist with copywriting for sales enablement materials including one-sheets and pitch decks
  • Ensure all external content maintains a high level of quality, features a consistent tone and style, and supports and reinforces key messages for given audience at each stage of the sales funnel.
  • Coordinate with creative resources and outside vendors as relevant to execute high-quality deliverables
  • Repurpose our content in smart ways so we get the most value out of everything we create.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 to 5 years of content creation or PR experience in the B2B technology space
  • Passion for writing and storytelling with a strong portfolio of writing samples—both long and short form
  • Driven self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A drive to product quality content that represents the brand
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media, thought leadership and lead generation programs
  • Ability to evaluate the structure of a piece of content and reorganize/rewrite it to improve structure, flow and clarity
  • Self-starter who can take ownership of a project and see it through to completion with pride

 

Bonus:

  • Experience with Marketo and Salesforce.com
  • Experience in video scripting and production
  • Up-to-date knowledge of SEO, SEM and analytics best practices
