Description:

The Creative Director is a new role for the organization and will report to the CMO. You will be responsible for working with the VP of Marketing to develop the LearnVest brand identity and strategy - and bring it to life across all marketing channels. As the Creative Director, you will be the shepherd of our brand and visual experiences. You will develop original design concepts, marketing campaigns and digital media productions; oversee multiple projects through execution; and directly manage a team of creatives. Leadership and motivation skills are absolutely essential for the role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build, inspire, manage, and mentor the team to deliver their best work, every day.
  • Set the creative direction and define the voice for the brand.
  • Ensure all campaigns and assets are on brand and meet objectives. This includes but is not limited to integrated campaigns, website/landing page design, banners, email, collateral, infographics, and social media.
  • Create a voice-messaging strategy on all touch points and execute plans to grow brand awareness, preference, engagement, and ROI.
  • Review and provide final approval of all creative assets.
  • Stay ahead of the curve to apply ongoing knowledge of market trends, technology and best practices.
  • Seize opportunities to make an impact without needed to be told.
  • Act as a player/coach and provide hands on management of creative team.

 

What We’d Like To See:

  • A wealth (10+ years) of hands-on experience in the creative industry (experience managing in house creative teams preferred).
  • Demonstrated creative success leading collaborative and multi functional teams.
  • You have created or evolved an iconic brand or disrupted a category.
  • Recognized expertise in brand identity, advertising, and interactive design.
  • Easily strike a balance thinking strategically and executing tactically.
  • Proven knowledge of the fundamentals: brand development, interaction design, user-centered experience design, digital marketing and the creative process, as well as new platforms and technologies.
  • A great portfolio showcasing digital campaigns, interactive experiences, big ideas and strategic thinking. Someone able to wear different hats and experience running a team at all levels.
  • Are obsessed by delivering the best UX and consistency in the customer journey
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term need. Timelines, budgets and availabilities change, and we need someone who can roll with it.
  • Ability to see future of design and set vision that is relevant now and in the future.
