Plated is looking for a Customer Experience Associate to join our NYC HQ CX Team! We are an energetic, innovative, and people-focused team that is using technology and data to fix the biggest, ugliest market in the world.

An ideal candidate should innately understand the needs of consumers, so communicating your personal approach to excellent customer service should be second nature. Our Customer Experience Associates don't work from a script, because resolving our members' unique issues requires flexibility and personalization, not canned responses. If you're a great listener who can demonstrate patience, empathy, sound judgment and balanced decision-making, we want to meet you! *Currently our CX operates in shifts on Monday-Friday 9am-10pm EST and Sat-Sun 9am-5pm EST

You will:

  • Serve as the primary contact between the customer and the company, providing real-time service during online sales, as well as post-sales support covering a range of topics.
  • Demonstrate a highly professional demeanor while providing exceptional service to our customers via phone, e-mail, and live chat.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues and complaints with the utmost of care and respect by listening to their problems and negotiating a satisfactory resolution.
  • Follow our customer service policies and procedures to ensure consistent customer satisfaction, always doing the right thing for both our customers and our business.
  • Ensure proper security procedures are followed on all client interactions to support PCI Compliance and Personal Information management policies and guidelines
  • Provide customer feedback and share information with other team members in order to continuously improve the customer experience and raise potential concerns

Who you are:

  • 1+ years of customer service experience in a premium category or luxury service environment.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills, comfortable talking to our customers via email, phone and chat.
  • Goes above and beyond to personalize connection with the customer
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on high quality.
  • Can respond quickly to changing needs and adapt as necessary to meet new challenges.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including email, web applications, and contact management software.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong leadership skills both independently and in a team; strong sense of accountability
