Knewton is seeking an engineer to join the DevOps team. We are a newly formed internal service-oriented team, focused on managing our core AWS infrastructure, creating and maintaining developer tools and services that empower the rest of the Tech organization to build and deploy quickly and with confidence.
This is a great opportunity to:
  • Design, build and manage the underlying infrastructure on AWS at Knewton
  • Build and maintain continuous deployment solutions
  • Partner with engineers on teams with technical support tasks
  • Create the tools that automate our infrastructure
What we are looking for:
  • Solid experience with Python
  • Solid Linux skills. You need to be able to discuss performance and interactions of complex large scale deployments
  • Experience with configuration management tools like chef, puppet, or ansible
  • Understanding of AWS technologies and how to leverage and support them within a complex infrastructure
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Track record of practical problem solving and excellent written and verbal communication
