Over half a billion videos are watched on a JW Player video player every day. The DevOps Team at JW Player is responsible for supporting all of the systems, infrastructure and processes that power our video platform.

JW Player is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in our New York City headquarters. As a member of the DevOps Team, you will be joining a small, collaborative team responsible for a wide array of systems from our internal and customer dashboards through, payment and video delivery management, and into our Hadoop-based data analytics system. This role will report to the Lead DevOps engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Work on JW Player’s AWS infrastructure as part of an agile team
• Automate configurations and templates for various linux based services
• Measure and maintain reliability through instrumentation and monitoring
• Interface with multiple development teams to provide services and support
• Be available for occasional after hours support

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Linux administration
• 1+ years of experience with AWS
• 1+ years of software development experience (preferably in Python)
• Experience with large scale web systems
• Experience with automated configuration management (salt, chef, puppet, etc.)
• Smart, and able to get things done 

Bonus Points

• BS in Computer related field
• Docker, Hadoop, Jenkins, SaltStack
• Database experience including SQL, NoSQL, and BigData
• Continuous Delivery, test automation, deployment automation
