Position Overview:

Rent The Runway is looking for a driven and multitalented Digital Photo Editor to join our growing creative production team. The Digital Photo Editor is well versed in editorial and e-commerce retouching, and possesses experience and interest in digital photography. The main responsibility will consist of assisting in managing all editorial post production projects, and retouching all editorial images from studio and on location photoshoots, used in emails, paid social ads, and our homepage. Additionally, the Digital Photo Editor will work under the Senior Photo Manager, and collaborate with our Design, Merchandising, and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented, able to multitask, has a sense of urgency, and a strong eye for color and photography.

Responsibilities:

• Retouch up to 100 editorial images/month from biweekly studio and on location editorial shoots
• Work with Marketing and Design teams to establish post production schedules and deadlines
• Work with Art Director and Style Director to translate aesthetic visions into post production processes
• Organize and maintain editorial image archive
• Photograph smaller internal projects
• Act as photo assistant for ecommerce photoshoots

Qualifications:

• Must be a master photo manipulator; have 2-3 years editorial and e-commerce retouching experience
• Ability to perform mid to high level editorial retouching (comping images, removing artifacts, extending backgrounds, beautifying, perfecting skin tones, etc.)
• Must have an eye for color correcting
• A love for digital photography
• Experience as a photographer or a photographer’s assistant preferred
• CaptureOne experience a plus, but not required
• Must be proficient with Mac OS as well as Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge)
• Exceptionally detail-oriented and well organized
• Able to thrive in a fast paced environment with very quick turnarounds; have a sense of urgency
• A collaborative team player with an interest in learning and listening to others
• Self-motivated, resourceful, hardworking with a positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Past experience working in fashion or e-commerce a plus, but not required
