The Candidate
Wink is looking for a Director of Accounting (CPA) to lead all accounting functions for the company. This person will partner with business stakeholders in finance, sales, logistics, and operations to roll out new processes and ongoing improvements within the NetSuite accounting system.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a blend of accounting and business experience with a strong proficiency in GAAP. In addition, the Director will educate and influence internal partners on best-practice approaches with regards to accounting implications.
The Job
- Perform monthly closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
- Process all accounting duties (AR/AP, Customer Set-up…etc) with a sense of urgency.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
- Review and streamline/improve existing processes.
- Prepare weekly/month-end reports for leadership team.
- Prepare financial reports for regulators and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
- Maintain on-going relationships with vendors, warehousing partners and internal teams.

The Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with equivalent experience and training.
- A CPA, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on, related accounting experience.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting system.
- Preferably a blend of public and small company experience with manufacturing/cost accounting.
- Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and still pay close attention to details.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, and deal with concrete variables.
- Experience with retail business and heavy transaction environments strongly preferred.
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills. Strong sense for detail and accuracy.
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements a plus.
- Auditing strengths.
- Experience in scaling an organization a plus.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply accounting guidance to new and varied types of transactions.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and communications skills (including verbal, written, and presentation).
- Must be flexible with working hours; morning and nights should business require it.
