What you’ll do

Strategic Partner Development and Account Management

  • Market research to understand key business dynamics within a given industry segment and with a special focus on potential target partners.
  • High-level financial modelling of strategic opportunities that looks to size deal opportunities and to identify key financial leverage points both for FanDuel and its potential partners.
  • Interact with key internal stakeholders to understand opportunities and risks for potential deals
  • Support the creation of partner “pitch” materials.
  • Help manage and track key issues through the negotiation process
  • Engage with partner post-deal to monitor performance against key deal metrics both for FanDuel and for partner – including the development and management of Quarterly Business Reviews with FanDuel’s most significant partners

 Negotiation of Material Deals

  • Work closely with internal sponsors of material deals to understand key deal leverage points
  • Help stakeholders develop frameworks to analyze deal ROI
  • Support financial analysis of deals
  • Support issue resolution and communication with internal groups outside of the deal sponsor.
  • Summarize deals to support final decision making to proceed or not to proceed. 

Management of Contract Process

  • Work with deal sponsors to understand deal priorities and to manage deal flow through the pipeline and prioritization with legal.
  • Summarize deals with a special focus on key terms.
  • Maintain tracking with legal of key contract dates and post-signing decision points.

Who we’re looking for

  • 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, law, management consulting and/or strategic business development
  • Additional experience in media, sports and/or consumer Internet preferred.
  • Familiarity with contracts.
  • Financial analysis and modelling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to get things done.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several competing demands simultaneously.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
