Director, Business Operations

Reporting to the COO, the Director of Business Operations is a strategic thinker who will work cross-functionally drive key initiatives through various teams, including Finance, Support, Sales, BI and others to more efficiently and analytically evaluate and execute upon key business goals. You will be responsible for the success of the business systems and processes, the immediate focus will be on the implementation and roll out of a number of new systems across the business in an effort to increase operational efficiency and performance across multiple groups. You will oversee and guide various program managers that will be tied into a range of departments across the business, and you will build a variety of scalable processes to ensure the success and predictability of departmental initiatives while promoting data-driven decisions. While this role is focused on Operations, you must be prepared to handle complex dependencies between resources, productivity and performance across the business.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Partnering with the COO to drive performance and efficiency across the organization
- Partnering with the COO to execute key initiatives and special projects
- Influencing and collaborating with business leaders to implement initiatives that will require cross functional coordination and staying in tune with the commercial demands of the business
- Overseeing, motivating and guiding departmental program managers across operational departments to ensure coordinated efforts and optimal results
- Partnering with the business intelligence team to manage and coordinate data-based programs to support the business
- Lead system integrations to ensure that the business is effectively taking advantage of external vs internal technical resources and solutions in order to drive maximum efficiency, performance and scale
- Boost efficiency and reduce risks and associated costs by defining and extending repeatable and scalable program management processes/frameworks for the Operations teams
- Develop and manage dependencies across a portfolio of initiatives
- Establish a best practice approach to change management
- Manage, communicate and negotiate changes in program strategies, expectations and deliverables with key stakeholders
- Leverage data analysis to gather and integrate requirements in order to successfully complete programs on time and to specification.
- Management of the risk associated with systems and change management
- Vendor Procurement and Management in relation to key initiatives and programs across the business

- Strong attention to detail and understanding of intricate cross-dependencies
- Organization skills that mitigate against human error
- Advanced problem solving skills balancing between budget, release schedule, and spec adherence
