The Candidate
You understand classic marketing fundamentals like the 4Ps, but also think in terms of DAU/MAU, LTV, and CTA.
You pay extreme attention to details and deliver high caliber work. You think one step ahead and understand how things ripple across the business. You are a utility player who is comfortable analyzing details of marketing campaigns, crafting long-term strategy, managing multiple projects at the same time, and who enjoys working with a variety of people and partners. Working at high speed excites you.
The Job
- This is a critical role and requires an experienced marketer who can hire and develop talent, manage external agencies and develop a cross-functional marketing strategy with other leaders across the organization.
- Develop and refine annual and quarterly marketing plans to successfully drive brand awareness, sales, and user growth.
- Lead external agencies and internal teams to execute the marketing plan including acquisition strategy, messaging, creative development, and media selection to support quarterly growth goals while maintaining budget accuracy.
- Track and monitor reporting of campaigns to evaluate performance against forecast and continuously optimize increasing return on investment and decreasing cost to acquisition.
- Drive web and ecommerce strategy balancing brand and acquisition marketing to succinctly tell the Wink story and drive growth.
- Build brand awareness and equity ensuring consistency in tone, message, creative, and personality.
- Work incredibly close with the communications team ensuring that marketing and communications are always in in unison.
- Collaborate with partners’ marketing teams to ensure effective and consistent execution of our brand and leverage partnerships to drive growth.
- This role reports to the VP of Business Development and Marketing.
The Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of marketing, advertising and brand management experience at an agency or leading consumer brand.
- Demonstrated competency in analyzing campaign effectiveness, creating successful campaigns, optimizing sub-optimal campaigns, and distilling learnings for brand and other cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of technology adoption and key market drivers.
- Collaborative personality - you are comfortable working cross-functionally across many teams. You understand that when the company wins, everyone wins.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing concepts (e.g., brand positioning, brand architecture, swot analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies, consumer segmentation) used in the development of marketing plans.
- Comfortable with marketing and advertising tech/tools (Google Analytics, AdRoll, Facebook Ad Manager, Optimizely, Mailchimp).
- Excited to guide strategy while always keeping your hands dirty in the execution type work that comes with startups.
- Proven success in a high growth, rapidly changing environment where every day matters.
- Travel 10-15%
