Position Overview:

As the Director of Marketing Performance, you will be responsible for driving marketing optimization across all channels and initiatives. Your insights will determine marketing strategy and decision-making; you will also analyze how tests and new initiatives are performing, and what learnings we can pull from them. We are building a world-class, performance-driven marketing team and data is critical for how we maintain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

The role of the Director of Marketing Performance is both analytical and operational as you will relentlessly find ways to improve marketing performance while executing tactical initiatives to drive customer activation and loyalty through sophisticated segmentated campaigns, behavioral triggers, and optimizing creative and copy assets across channels. This needs to be done with a deep understanding of the customer and underlying reasons for behaviors, not just surface-level observations. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that will challenge assumptions, rethink the way we do things, and shape marketing to be more analytical and creative.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead performance optimization across channels and marketing initiatives; uncover insights and unlock new growth opportunities
  • Draw insights from data, measure campaign performance, and determine best strategies/tactics for driving improvements to hit revenue goals
  • Develop marketing strategy rooted in customer and competitive insights, traffic and conversion optimization, and impact of initiatives on the business
  • Act as an advocate of data-driven marketing at our company, define and surface metrics for the business & be the subject matter expert on marketing performance and data

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in a business related or technical field plus 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in marketing analytics or management consulting a plus
  • Highly empathic to the needs of all customers
  • Endlessly curious mindset; never satisfied with the status quo
  • Ability to develop, execute, and communicate a long-term strategic vision while also balancing immediate priorities and opportunities
  • Deep experience with analytics/reporting tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong results-oriented mindset
  • Capable of analyzing user and performance data to establish clear measures of success and build compelling stories with data
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with strong team management skills
  • Entrepreneurial and founder mindset, ready to take on tasks outside of role with strong agility to change and to be flexible/resilient
  • Self-starter with proven ability to project manage and work independently on projects from start to finish
  • No drama, can-do attitude
