The Job

Wink integrates with over 30 brands and the Director of Partnerships is the external face of Wink to our current partners; maintaining and cultivating those relationships, integrating new products and keeping Wink top of mind as this fast paced emerging industry continues to evolve. You’ll also establish new relationships and partnerships that create user and financial growth.

  • Build and maintain relationships with a variety of players in the industry: age-old industry leaders, new startups, manufacturers, technology providers, industry alliances, etc.
  • Maintain and grow current partnerships; always staying top of mind and tracking developments with our partners generating new business and opportunities. Establish a cadence of partnership reviews to align product and marketing roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications team to formalize partnership program including formal requirements for packaging, collateral, messaging, announcements, promotions, and outreach.
  • Dive into the details and shepard partnerships through from prospect, contract negotiation, SOW creation, implementation, and review.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, project management, and marketing teams to ensure flawless partnership implementation.
  • Stay connected with our customer support and data teams to share insights with partners that make us indispensable to their success.
  • Be an expert on the industry advising and consulting partners on the smart home category while serving as a partner advocate internally.
  • Establish a consistent pipeline of integrations and partnership opportunities evaluating deals on strategic and financial impact making recommendations to leadership team.
  • Create financial and user growth by uncovering and securing unique, industry-leading partnerships, while establishing new business models and monetization strategies.
  • This role reports to the VP of Business Development and Marketing.

The Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, corporate development, partnership marketing, product management, or strategy at technology or services company.
  • Ability to understand and create partnership models in a complex, fast-paced industry.
  • Proven track record in prospecting, negotiating, closing, and executing partnerships.
  • Experience executing and harvesting current partnership consistently over time.
  • Deep understanding of technology adoption and key market drivers.
  • Collaborative personality - you are comfortable working cross-functionally across many teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven success in a high growth, rapidly changing environment where every day matters.
  • Executive presence to take meetings at any level combined with grit to actually do the work required.
  • Travel 25-30%
  • Based in New York, NY

Bonus points

  • Startup experience and/or working in a lean environment.
  • Experience in the smart home industry or an emerging industry.
