YouVisit has an immediate opening for a Director of Product to manage and develop our consumer product offering and lead our Product Development team. This full-time, salaried position is a great opportunity for a stellar Director of Product to take our award-winning VR, mobile and web applications to the next level. You will have a minimum of 8 years of experience at a start up, agency, or other tech company, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are passionate about emerging technology, mobile interfaces, and design. You are an expert at creating product roadmaps and executing them with development teams.


This position is NOT a development project manager role where you are architecting or managing development. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Product Managers/Product Owners, Senior Business Analysts, and Product Designers
  • Oversee projects (including VR, mobile and web) through entire project lifecycles from strategy and concepting, through design, build and signoff phases
  • Manage the user facing design and specification of new features with a careful eye on product usability and end user efficiency
  • Experience working directly with development teams and proficiency in mobile and web architecture
  • Define and create roadmap based on user and business needs
  • Communicate product roadmap and plans to senior leadership and how it benefits the organization
  • Seek new business opportunities at the Product level
  • Analyze success of products through data and key metrics and communicate to leadership
  • Monitor product KPIs and adjust the product to continue meeting KPIs
  • Manage and develop the talent on their team, including recruitment, engagement, and well-being, all with the goal of building and maintaining a high-performing team.
  • Track, measure, and continually improve individual team member productivity.
  • Create and analyze analytics schemas for each platform and communicate high level metrics to leadership
  • Define a product feature set that increases the value for clients and the organization
  • Understand organizational departmental needs and include them into the product roadmap
  • Work closely with the department leads of Development, Sales, Marketing, Content Production and Client Success
  • Create and manage product team deadlines ensuring business needs and roadmap timelines are met
  • Manage the relationship with strategic partners

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in a technical or design field
  • A minimum of 8+ years experience managing and launching consumer facing mobile and web applications
  • 8+ years of experience in a start-up, agency, or technology company
  • Prior experience owning the creation and ideation of a consumer facing product
  • Exceptional knowledge of UX and UI best practices
  • Knowledge of user needs and motivations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Experience defining the value of a feature set and the ROI to the company and user
  • Ability to own multiple project tracks independently with limited supervision
  • Knowledgeable in technology trends and best practices
  • Ability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional areas with demonstrated strong capabilities in communicating and interfacing between Sales, Marketing and Engineering
  • Experience defining analytics schemas for project tracks and interpreting the results
  • Proficient in JIRA
  • Proficient in Agile Scrum project management methodology
  • Open and collaborative style; must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged
  • Comfortable working on multiple project tracks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
