The Job - Director, Sales Operations
The Director of Sales Operations will be responsible for optimizing sales performance, efficiency and drive implementation of sales strategy & planning as well as process definition, improvement and automation. This hands-on position will own projects from idea generation through execution and delivery.
The Sales Operations Director will have in-depth experience in action-oriented quantitative and qualitative sales analysis. You are a highly analytical, outcome-oriented problem solver who makes decisions and acts on them quickly with a high sense of urgency. He/she possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills and has experience working in fast paced growth environments. You will be responsible for handling sales lead generation, KPI reporting, analysis and optimization, project managing new process roll outs and leading and enforcing the sales and retention processes. You will have the ability to question the effectiveness of current processes and procedures in order to lead change to increase the efficiency of our sales force.
What you'll do
- You will conduct research and provide findings to support key strategic decisions, including the organizationalstructure, quota definitions, compensation planning, and territory assignments
- You will be in charge of building, optimizing and leading strategy over the lead generation process as well as build systems that enable automated processing of potential customer information
- Find opportunities to streamline sales process and manage implementation of necessary modifications
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement process & policy changes
- Ensure the optimization of new sales tools and techniques that are implemented on the sales floor
- Observe sales processes with a strategic and consultative focus to inspire change and increase the number of client calls and closed deals
- Increase the lead pool of good quality leads in North America through the development of new prospecting tools
- Eliminate friction in the sales cycle through standardization of policies and procedures to optimize the sales funnel
- Define, track and drive attainment of sales metrics and KPIs
QualificationsWho you are:
- BA a top university, and MBA from a top tier school preferred
- 8+ years relevant experience (Sales Management, Sales Operations, Management Consulting)
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Strong project management and execution skills
- Effective communication, both written and verbal
- Experience working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
- Authority in Salesforce CRM
- Experience modeling potential compensation and quota structures
- Experience researching and implementing new sales tools to aid the work flow of an inside sales force
- Excellent understanding of standard business practices related to Sales Operations processes and systems
- Preferred - Experience working for B2B SaaS company
- Preferred – Working knowledge of SQL and other programming languages
