We are seeking a Director of Technical Project Management to lead a three person PM team in the execution of IT infrastructure projects for our Integrated Services Group. 

The Director of Technical Project Management will be responsible for leading a team in the management of full programs and individual projects in a technology environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple IT disciplines and extensive experience working with resource managers, vendors, and meeting directly with client management.


Responsibilities:


  • Leads the planning, execution and closing of projects 
  • Develops and maintains consolidated master plan, issues logs, and accurate status reports for own projects
  • Facilitates internal and external project team meetings, including project kick-off meetings
  • Completes project cost analysis & project strategy presentations as needed 
  • Responsible for assessing the impact of shifting project priorities, demands and timeline modifications. 
  • Responsible for project governance of other team member projects. This includes monthly financial overview and status review
  • Maintains awareness of other PM team members projects and is responsible for assigning PM resources to projects
  • Responsible for ensuring the advancement of the Enterprise Services department's objectives within the execution of projects
  • Provides a senior voice of experience and leadership to the rest of the Enterprise Services Project Managers 
  • Works with the Enterprise Services Project Managers to help develop their roles and advance their professionalism
  • Manages customer expectations, responsible for deciding when tasks/activities need to be escalated
  • Responsible for keeping the team focused on delivering the highest business value to the customer 
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Works with external vendors as needed 
  • Ensures project artifacts are completed, acceptable and in accordance with standards 
  • Assists with the development of best practices and tools for ongoing project execution and management 
  • Works with senior management to define working standards for Enterprise Services Project Management 

 

Job Requirements:


  • Minimum 7 years of project management experience in multiple IT disciplines, including: 
  • Data center builds and migrations 
  • Microsoft Active Directory 
  • Messaging Services (Google, Office 365, etc.) 
  • Network assessment and development; risk identification and remediation 
  • Network and Information Security Policies and Procedures 
  • Network auditing and remediation 
  • Standards development 
  • VoIP, video and wireless network implementation 
  • Telecommunications auditing 
  • Structured cabling 
  • Strong Experience in End-to-End Planning and Project Execution 
  • Strong collaborative interpersonal skills are a must 

Preferred Skills:


  • Superior verbal, written, presentation, meeting facilitation and communication skills 
  • Experience with waterfall methodology is required, agile experience is a plus 
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential 
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, support and interact with different project teams 
  • Flexible and adaptable 
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Smartsheet and other project management related tools is required 
  • PMP Certification preferred
