LearnVest is seeking an editorial intern to contribute this summer to content across LearnVest’s website and social channels. We’re seeking a wordsmith who loves all things lifestyle and wants to help Americans understand that financial planning’s not so scary. In fact, it’s fun!
The Content Marketing team is looking for a candidate with a background in editorial, journalism or a related field and who has a knack for telling stories.
Responsibilities:
- Write up daily lifestyle-meets-finance stories on deadline
- Contribute compelling story ideas in morning pitch meetings
- Help with administrative duties across content and social teams
- Draft and schedule social posts across channels
- Monitor social comments and mentions
- Field and organize story pitches from outside freelancers and agencies
- Work with Compliance to ensure our content meets set standards
Qualifications:
- Proofing, fact-checking, research and reporting skills
- A love of all things social
- A basic understanding of social analytics
- An affinity for spreadsheets (read: planning and administrative experience)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- An appreciation for cold brew coffee (we’ve got it on tap!)
