Mic is expanding its Emerging Media team and social video offerings and looking for a highly organized, ambitious producer to manage Delivered Instagram account and its daily video content. Delivered is Mic’s food vertical and foodie community. A strong candidate is a foodie and has a strong passion and knowledge of the the best and creative food content that our audience will love.

The Delivered Producer will report to Mic’s Emerging Media Managing Producer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage production of the Delivered daily Instagram videos
  • Collaborate closely with team video editors and graphic artists to help identify stories, set priorities and assist in the process from pitch to video completion and publishing
  • Write video/post copy and give creative direction for daily videos (create scripts if needed)
  • Handle community management for the Delivered Instagram account and engage in the comments section and seek opportunities for UGC
  • See each video to completion, from pre­-production to post-production
  • Facilitate communications with the Video and Editorial teams
  • Monitor news for trending stories best for video opportunities
  • Assist in the quality check of daily Instagram videos
  • Experiment with new templates, formats and series to grow short form video offerings
  • Experience in working on branded content short-form social videos
  • Support the Emerging Media team in content ideation such as pitching, cross promotion, partnerships, Live productions and on-site shoots

Must Haves:

  • 2+ years of experience in writing for video (social video is a plus)
  • Process­ oriented, extremely organized
  • Experience in creative development
  • Have a strong understanding of social media best practices and guidelines for Instagram
  • Keen sense of visuals
  • Understanding of editorial voice and best practices
  • Highly communicative and strong interpersonal skills
  • Sharp writing sensibility
  • Commitment to high standards — understanding of editorial and creative best practices
  • Knowledgeable in other emerging social media platforms such as Snapchat
  • Ability to manage projects and prioritize assignments in a fast­-paced environment
  • Passion for food content, food-related media outlets and influencers
  • Keeps up-to-date on emerging social platform news and platform updates
