Could you sell ice to an eskimo? Do you close more than Mariano Rivera? If so, you're perfect for this role.

Updater's inbound demand is growing like wildfire and we need experienced sales professionals to help acquire new clients. Our sales style is consultative, but our product is a no-brainer, making you Updater's next Mariano Rivera. You'll leverage existing industry knowledge and relationships to close opportunities that are a perfect fit for Updater. Doing so will require creating a prospecting strategy, maintaining a healthy and growing pipeline, managing the progression of opportunities through the funnel, closing the deal, and – of course – celebrating.

This is an ideal position for sales professionals in the relocation industry. 

This can be a work-from-home role, or you can work from our Manhattan headquarters. Our entire sales team operates remotely, so we've invested heavily in making sure that our communication lines are open, our video technology is awesome, and your frequent flier programs get some action with 3-4 trips to NYC per year.

What you'll do:

  • Become an expert on Updater's platform and be able to effectively articulate the business value in ways that resonate with prospects
  • Identify and qualify prospects and leads
  • Drive results, focusing your energy on high return opportunities
  • Engage C-level officers and skillfully interact with decision makers
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to provide prospect and industry feedback to Product/Engineering teams
  • Navigate our Salesforce CRM like a boss
  • Hustle and bring your A game every day

What you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B sales (emphasis on software and technology sales preferred)
  • Great industry contacts in the relocation industry
  • Experience structuring and negotiating agreements that drive new revenue
  • You have experience opening new lines of business
  • Accurate and timely records
  • Outstanding sales and presentation skills
  • Great attitude and work ethic
  • Natural tendency to enjoy relationship building, talking on the phone, and networking
  • Knowledge of SalesForce (not required, but this is a plus)
