Executive Coordinator to the President

As the Executive Coordinator to the President, your responsibilities will primarily include project management and analysis, event presentation prep, advisor and investor relations, and managing the President’s communications, travel, and schedule. This role will require that you work cross-functionally across all levels of the organization and develop rapport with stakeholders in Andela offices across US, Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda.

You’ll come up with creative solutions to immediate issues and follow through on logistical and operational projects. Your ability to organize is one of your key strengths, your communication skills in all mediums and at all levels is exemplary, and you have a track record in project management. The right candidate must also have some experience working directly with clients. Ultimately, a successful EC will relieve the President of administrative tasks to clear the way for critical strategic work, maximize the President’s efficiency, and enable exponential growth.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-departmental projects with stakeholders across the company
  • Report on and track KPIs of the President including enterprise engagement, public speaking engagements and high level recruiting amongst others
  • Manage multiple competing interests and prioritize effectively
  • Enforce and manage the President’s calendar and to-do lists together with a remote Executive Assistant
  • Prepare and distribute written documents such as agendas, reports, meeting minutes and various other materials
  • Manage President’s email correspondence and prioritize emails/events
  • Research various topics and create succinct overviews (e.g. diversity trends in tech)
  • Take detailed meeting notes, capture action items, and hold team members accountable
  • Assist in planning logistics for board travel, dinner, and meetings
  • Handle confidential company and personal information with the utmost discretion

Qualifications

  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with cross-cultural communication and operating across multiple timezones
  • Outstanding organizational skills and uncompromising attention to detail
  • Willing and able to do whatever it takes to get the job done in a startup environment
  • Flexible with schedule to accomplish job functions which may include working off-hours for projects and/or support
  • Experience with basic communications and project-flow technologies, and able to learn new platforms quickly (Google Drive and Calendars, Evernote, DropBox, Trello, Slack, etc.)
  • Familiarity with design platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) a plus
