Refinery29 is looking for a curious, ambitious, creative, and dedicated Photo Researcher to join our Photo team!
What You'll Do:
- Work closely with editorial team to illustrate various stories across the site for categories ranging in Entertainment, Beauty, Fashion, Global News
- Discerning appropriate imagery for sensitive breaking news stories that involve violence or natural disasters
- Vast knowledge of photo agencies and pricing structures as well as licensing terms.
- Coming up with creative solves and dynamic imagery for stories that around the similar topics or celebrities
- Basic photoshop and retouching techniques such as color correcting, siloing, layer masking, image sizing, and attention to fine details
- Track daily image purchases and costs in monthly usage document
- Will be responsible for concept and produce original R29 stock archive photo shoots. Basic production skills a plus but will train candidates.
- Must have a positive and engaging work ethic, positive attitude when being forward facing with superiors and coworkers.
