Frontend Developer
At Livestream, we strive to build seamless, delightful interfaces for our video products, in order to broadcast the world's events online. To that end, we are hiring a Front-End Engineer to join our Platform team in Brooklyn.
We're looking for an effective front-end developer, eager to join a multi-functional team as the de-facto interface authority. Embedded in a team of full-stack engineers, they will work closely with designers and product managers to scope and build innovative video features on the web. The team follows an agile process, holding weekly planning meetings, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to close the feedback loop.
Your day-to-day will include developing JavaScript applications, where we are currently using AngularJS. You should value clean and testable code, ensuring that client applications are well-covered and exercised by continuous integration. Bringing prototypes and mocks to life with HTML & CSS is another responsibility, and a penchant for sharing your front-end know-how will be a great benefit to your peers.
Responsibilities
- Develop Platform features with a strong concentration on the front-end -- JS/HTML/CSS
- Extend and improve our client-side applications
- Participate in the team -- review code, speak up at IPM, and work towards the group's success
Qualifications
- Prior front-end development experience
- JavaScript application experience (AngularJS, React, Ember.js)
- JavaScript and front-end testing skills
- Practitioner of agile methodologies
