JW Player is looking for a talented full-stack Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in our New York headquarters. As a member of the Portal Engineering Team, you will be joining a small, collaborative team responsible for our internal and user-facing dashboards, our eCommerce and direct-sold payments systems, as well as our internal user account management APIs.

In this role:

• You will work with the latest application container technology
• You will collaborate with an agile team
• You will build and maintain the Portal architecture; from our static Angular front end through to our RESTful Python APIs
• You will develop new commercial features from our Product Backlog
• You will prototype new ideas and explore new solutions to challenges and be responsible for implementing them

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a software engineer
• Full understanding of Python and JavaScript
• Strong relational database skills (MySQL a plus)
• You are resourceful, well organized, and able to dependably get things done
• BS in Computer Science or related field

Bonus Points

• You have experience with data-binding JavaScript frameworks (we use Angular.js)
• You have familiarity or experience building eCommerce platforms
• You are comfortable in a fast-paced Agile environment
• You have experience with continuous delivery, test automation
