The role of the Global Client Partner is to lead a small set of key global client partnerships. This role entails developing a keen understanding of the client’s business and organization, become a thought partner and drive the relationship between BuzzFeed and the client at a global level to the point that BuzzFeed becomes an established marketing lever that drives the client’s business. The Global Client Partner is the principle representative between BuzzFeed and his/her senior client leadership team, and at the center of an extensive internal (market teams and support teams) and external (agency & client) ecosystem of partners who are paramount to help him/her achieve his/her mission.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop thought leadership on client’s business and industry
  • Set long term aspiration and annual goals with key global client(s) through formal, strategic account planning
  • Seek to understand client’s business objectives to ensure BuzzFeed solutions are positioned appropriately.
  • Accountable for the construction of a plan or JBP to achieve these goals, and for delivering on service expectations as per JBP agreement, e.g. training, workshops, measurement studies – ultimately accountable for global revenue with these clients(s).
  • Lead an internal ecosystem of Country Brand Strategists and Client Services Managers to execute against a vision and plan for the partnership between BuzzFeed and the client.
  • Align with cross functional teams like Sales, Marketing, Research, Creative, and Pricing to ensure client expectations are managed and delivered upon.
  • Lead the sharing of best practices globally and be the single source of knowledge for internal and external queries related to key client.
  • Set and communicate direction and prioritization of key markets and initiatives to support client’s BuzzFeed activities locally, regionally, and globally.
  • Collaborate with internal, cross market teams to ensure product improvement, transfer knowledge region to region and improve processes and relationships.
  • Partner with client’s media and creative agencies to ensure synergies, collaboration and trusting relationships, driving towards a common goal of achieving client’s business objectives.
  • Identify incremental revenue opportunities and scale accordingly and ensure client’s investment targets are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor and provide timely and accurate forecasts of sales opportunities and pipelines.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, media sales, or project management
  • CPG experience preferred
  • Experience in managing international accounts
  • Experience managing multi-layer, complex business relationships
  • Proven and consistent track record of executing against an aggressive growth strategy and contributing to client revenue growth rates above expectations
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower colleagues to achieve objectives with a team approach
  • Results and detail oriented
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem solving/decision making skill
  • Intelligent, motivated self starter with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
  • Must be comfortable with 50%-75% domestic and international travel
