The Role: 

Intersection is revolutionizing the way information is shared in public spaces to ease and enrich people’s journeys through their cities and connect them to their communities. We connect brands with people where they are via relevant and impactful experiences, and we earn the trust of our partners through our shared mission, working together to build the foundation for a connected future. 

As a Learning & Development Intern at Intersection, you will assist our VP of Learning & Development with presentations, workshops and e-learning content that teach our employees new skills and impart new knowledge. You will also assist in planning various company-wide events to promote our Learning & Development initiatives. This is a six-month paid, part-time internship, with the potential to extend as needed.

What you will accomplish:

• Assist with all general training duties, curriculum development and delivery of training
• Collaborate with VP of Learning and Development & HR Team to promote the sharing of knowledge at Intersection
• Apply adult learning principles to help develop and design the training for Intersection’s L&D initiatives
• Generate content for learning & development newsletters and learning missions
• Coordinate the logistics of Intersection’s L&D and culture events
• Research and recommend L&D/training best practices

What we are looking for:

• Currently pursuing a graduate or master’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Learning & Development, Training, Education or related field
• Knowledge of adult learning principles as they apply to learning in the workplace
• Instructional design experience, specifically e-learning video development, is strongly preferred
• Detail-oriented, self-starter who is able to manage various assignments simultaneously
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative thinker -- you are able to take research and content and develop it into material that is well and easily understood
