Rocketrip is looking for an engineering leader who has a vision and aptitude for building great teams. We’re rapidly growing and as we add more engineers to help accelerate numerous parts of our product roadmap, we need the oversight necessary to drive team productivity, quality standards along with establishing growth opportunities for each and every engineer.

As Head of Engineering you will have a strong software engineering background allowing you to weigh in on critical decisions while understanding when it’s appropriate for the team to figure things out on their own. With your experience, it will allow you to seamlessly own all aspects of technical deliverables from performance and security, to quality and development operations.

The software engineers on your team will be solving problems that have never been solved before as Rocketrip pushes forward with a solution that is still one of a kind. As such, you will be responsible for driving consensus on how we approach solving unique problems along with determining how we optimize our time as we research the solution options available to us. As such, you will always be mindful of multiple project schedules and commitments to drive the team to completion.

Agile and lean delivery methodologies are near and dear to your heart. You recognize that everyone is doing it wrong and the agile purest necessitates team ownership and team commitment on all deliverables. This means, you’re a product manager, a quality engineer, a customer and engineer at heart and are always thinking about what it means to deliver to all these unique audiences.
