As Head of Link & Platform Engineering, reporting into the Head of Engineering, you will work with Intersection executives and team members from across the organization to create a technology team focused on designing, building, and operating both our marquee product to transform urban spaces, as well as the platform underlying our IOT efforts. You’ll be a key part of efforts to shape, develop and manage our strategic capabilities, implement and manage customer and product solutions, and evolving our strategies for device management, customer management, API/services, and technical practices.

Key Initiatives:

• Evolve LinkNYC into a multi-city offering (expanding to the UK and future cities)
• Expand Device Management capabilities across Intersections Transit and other offerings
• Transition from an MVP/Project-oriented -> Platform and Operations oriented footing
• A culture of Agility, Quality and DevOps - coach practices, tooling, and implementation

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop relationships with executives and stakeholders
• Develop a deep understanding of the business environment and strategy
• Identify technology and product opportunities within the company and marketplace
• Develop products bringing digital capabilities to physical advertising
• Lead the recruitment, development and management of technology and staff
• Shepherd agile practices and process at scale across products and projects
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and approaches influencing smart cities and IOT

Requirements:

• 8+ years experience of leadership in technology and/or product management
• Track record of building and operating successful products and platforms
• Proven experience building highly-engaged, high-performing teams
• Strong capabilities of: observation, analysis, synthesis
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
• Experience working with complex products spanning software, hardware, and operations
• Deep experience with development and testing tooling, operations, practices, and rollout
• Significant building or operating data centers, networks, and infrastructure
• Significant experience in project/program/vendor management and integration
• Change-agent capable of building vision and alignment
