The Opportunity:

 

The People Department Coordinator role is designed to support the overall functioning of the People Department. This role is responsible for business as usual activities and regularly liaising with the Shutterstock employee base.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Manage the new hire processes including pre-employment communication and screening, 1st day set up, company orientation program and data input


  • Assist Payroll and Benefits manager with processing international and domestic payrolls and benefits administration


  • Act as a first point of contact for employee questions about payroll and benefits, employment verifications. Escalate as necessary.


  • Ensure HR processes are followed and data is accurately maintained. Run reports as requested.


  • Manage employee termination processes by conducting exit interviews, shutting down systems and informing employees about policies and procedures


  • Assist with managing leaves of absences


  • Assist with the roll out of key HR processes (eg. Compensation, Performance Management, etc.)


  • Help coordinate employee meetings

Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree required


  • A minimum of two years working in an HR/People Department


  • Experience processing payroll


  • Experience running reports and managing data using Microsoft Excel

  • High level of professionalism with ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
