Lemonade is growing and expanding, and needs Underwriting and Insurance Product Management talent!

We are a hip tech company redesigning insurance from the ground up to make it instant, delightful and affordable, while promoting social impact. Today, we are a fully licensed and regulated insurance company selling homeowners, renters and condo insurance in New York state. We are expanding rapidly with many more states, products, and features to come.

We are well funded by leaders in the venture capital and technology world, including Sequoia and Google Ventures.

We are looking for dynamic people that are analytically-minded, hands-on, aggressive self-starters that can drive our insurance product and geographic expansion. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker, excited about changing the status-quo and thinking creatively to delight insurance customers across the country. Tech savvy is a must, as is independence, drive, and optimism.

Responsibilities include, but are definitely not limited to:

1. Analyzing and managing data and information about our current and potential customers, creating insights that drive customer satisfaction and growth
2. Tracking and evaluating competitor products and pricing, ensuring we remain on the cutting edge
3. Crafting policy language to meet new customer insurance demands, and setting appropriate prices using limited data
4. Rapidly becoming an expert in new states that we enter, and crafting our insurance product strategy
5. Interacting with regulators in the rate and form filing process, building their confidence that we’ve got it right

• Immediate availability
• Fast learner, self-driven. Willing and excited to get your hands dirty
• Analytical, with a strong ability to identify trends, communicate results, and take action
• Insurance experience, especially homeowners/personal lines, is a strong plus, but not required
• Actuarial and/or Underwriting experience is a strong plus, but not required
• Comfortable with and adaptable to new technologies
• Lots of attention to detail
• Highly available, dependable hard worker
• Track record of success and increasing positions of responsibility

• We operate from two primary locations: one in Manhattan and one in Tel Aviv, Israel; team members can work virtually part-time, so alternate locations are possible
