Investment Associate

The Investments Associate will be responsible for the oversight of platform investments ensuring they align with investment guidelines and our investment methodology. This hire will lead Stash's investment selection, monitoring, and investment manager partnership work, including having day-to-day responsibility for leading our investment committee.

What you'll do:
- Oversee platform investments ensuring they align with investment guidelines and our investment methodology
- Day-to-day lead for the firm's investment selection, monitoring, and investment manager partnership work
- Collaborate with other teams (product, design, marketing, and compliance) to commercialize new products and enhance existing products
- Work with the marketing and content teams to understand Stash’s core demographic, complement our financial education, and contribute subject matter expertise
- Aid in developing portfolio optimization models and investment algorithms
- Aid in the development of robust systems to mitigate risk, ensure quality of investment advice, and proactively identify issues in the investment process
- Contribute to the development of research infrastructure for modeling, optimization, back testing, analytics, and data management, to ensure an efficient and robust investment research process
- Collaborate with engineering to design and develop systems to automate oversight of client portfolios, validate key inputs and expected outputs, and handle exceptions
What we're looking for:
- 3-5 years in multi-asset portfolio management, manager selection, or similar roles
- Strong background in econometrics/statistics; experience with optimization desired
- Experience analyzing complex data and building statistical models for a multi-asset class investment team
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate technical content to an audience with varied backgrounds
- CFA or CFP a plus
