iOS Engineer
We are looking for a flexible, smart, and enthusiastic developer to help get us to our next level of growth.
You don’t necessarily need to be familiar with our current stack; our main priority is to find strong and flexible team members who can learn as they go and help out where they are needed the most.
The iOS Engineer will be responsible for build new features, improving existing ones and participating in the design and implementation of API methods.
We are looking for someone who can use Objective-C and Swift to improve the Lua iOS app, a complex, native application relied upon by thousands of users every day. You will collaborate closely with Product and the API team to spec, build, test, and deploy new features. Additionally, you may be asked to help with triaging and troubleshooting issues.
Core Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
Experience with Objective-C and Swift
Experience with modern iOS technologies
Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment
Expertise in building complex layouts with UIKit
Familiarity with Test Driven Development practices like BDD and ATDD
Strong UI and design skills
Strong communication skills and empathy
Self-awareness and a desire to improve your skills
Bonus Skills
Fluency in Spanish
Interest in or experience with React Native
Experience with CocoaPods, Carthage and other major open source iOS projects
Experience profiling and improving performance
Experience with threading, Core Data, and networking
Experience in small startup environments
