Jr. Motion Graphics Designer 

The BuzzFeed editorial Design team needs a hard-working Junior Motion Graphics Designer for a full-time position in the NY office, to start as soon as possible. We are looking for someone with a passion for animation, design and illustration along with the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have a deep interest in creating art that people want to share across social media.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the BuzzFeed Entertainment Group team on animated elements for a variety of projects including graphics for video, multiple distributed platforms and BuzzFeed.com
• Create work based on current design trends as well as design styles past and present
• Collaborate with producers and editors to design creative solutions using motion

Requirements:

• In-Depth Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere
• Degree or course of study in art/design/illustration
• Strong sense of typography and design
• Ability to work Independently on multiple projects under a tight deadline
• Great communication skills and a talent for collaboration
• An interest in current events, pop culture, and social media
• An active presence on social media
• 1-2 years animation/design experience
