About This Role

ShopKeep seeks a Jr. Technical Project Manager to deliver ambitious outcomes against a pipeline of cross-functional technology initiatives.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical reasoning and interpersonal skills, efficient time management practices, and a keen sense for managing projects to predictable, successful outcomes.

At ShopKeep, we run technology projects with light, tight-knit teams. You should be comfortable negotiating with executives, managing external partnerships, writing stellar user stories, and allocating teams for optimal performance -- whatever it takes to help our engineers and product managers ship excellent releases on time and on budget. 

This is a full-time role available in our New York or Belfast office. We'd like to get to know you as soon as possible.

What You Will Do

• Manage ShopKeep’s delivery and release cadence (we ship daily and release every two weeks).

• Ensure on time delivery and uncompromising product quality.

• Plot out engineering schedules in an extremely clear and detailed manner.  (Use any software you want)

• Build and assign engineering tasks.

• Mentor your teams!  Develop a positive team dynamic and help safeguard our collaborative work environment.

What You Need

• 2 – 4 years experience delivering challenging projects through full lifecycle iteration.

• A solid understanding of web and mobile development best practices.  

• Flexible approach suited for a process-light environment.  Draw from your knowledge of agile methodologies to get stuff done.

• Exemplary communication skills.  Be ready to build consensus among opinionated engineers, executives, and everyone in between.

• Ability to grasp the fundamentals of modern storefront and payment technology.

• A collaborative attitude and the desire to participate in thoughtful, open debate.
