FanDuel is the pioneer of online daily fantasy sports, one of the fastest growing sectors of the sports and entertainment industry. We’re a household name in the US and we’re recognized as one of Scotland’s two unicorn companies, valued at more than $1 billion. Since our launch in 2009, we’ve been disrupting the fantasy sports industry and changing the way millions of people experience sports

About You

You don’t have to be a die-hard fantasy sports fan to work here — of course, it doesn’t hurt. You do need to be a quick learner, strategic thinker and — above all — a great writer. Maybe you went to portfolio school, maybe you didn’t — regardless, you’ve got great work to show for your efforts. Haven’t tried Daily Fantasy Sports yet? Don’t worry, we can teach you that.

About the Job

Your core responsibility as a Jr. Copywriter is to deliver outstanding copy — including conversion-driven landing pages, branded copy, social content, event collateral, even some traditional advertising (print, radio, TV) — not to mention, any ad hoc requests that come your way. Yes, you’ll get to grow your portfolio across the board, all while working on a large, national brand.

  • Edit copy that’s not yours to be succinct and benefit-driven
  • Assist in brainstorming big ideas (and/or naming them)
  • Proofread your own copy and meet deadlines
  • Assist more senior Creative Team members as necessary

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of web/marketing/traditional copywriting
  • Familiarity with web copywriting best practices
  • Experience writing for a specific brand (in-house, freelance or agency) across multiple mediums
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising or related field
