Junior Financial Analyst

The Position:
Birchbox is looking for a sharp mind to assist the growing Finance department on all matters of financial planning and analysis for our global business operations. You will have the opportunity to work in our innovative and fast-changing environment where your analyses and insights help our executive team make key decisions. We need someone with integrity, energy, passion and a strong financial background to aide in everything from day-to-day business operations to forecasting and planning to financing. Specific responsibilities include:
Responsible for tracking and reporting business performance against operating plans for management and other stakeholders
Prepare materials to be shared company-wide on financial performance
Coordinate with accounting team on month, quarter and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial reports
Initiate continual process improvement efforts that enhance timeliness and accuracy of financial results and reporting
Establish and maintain strong business partnerships and cross-functional relationships to provide decision support
Assist with the annual budgeting process by providing guidance, support and analytics
Support management in corporate development activities, including fundraising and M&A

Key Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree; finance and accounting coursework preferred
- 1 – 2 years of applicable experience, including investment banking or corporate finance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
