Description:

We’re looking for an iOS Lead to head up our team of engineers working on consumer facing mobile apps for LearnVest and Northwestern Mutual. Mobile, for us, is much more than a buzzword -- we're rethinking core things about the mobile experience across the financial and insurance space. We're tackling big problems like changing user behavior, personal financial literacy and data syncing. If you get excited by seemingly impossible problems, we should talk.

We’re a distributed team of engineers working solely on mobile products. We are looking for someone who can come onboard and begin contributing quickly. We are looking to you to bring knowledge and skill so we can disrupt the mobile space for LearnVest and Northwestern Mutual. 

Requirements:

• You are a talented mobile developer, with innovative and well-received apps in the App Store that showcase your skills.
• You've either been a lead engineer supporting a team of mobile developers, or you have the skills and ambition to step up to the next level.
• You know how to lead others and grow a team of talented engineers.
• You possess a deep knowledge of iOS gained through years of actual experience.
• You’ve found at least 90 bugs in UITableView and can share your experiences in working around them.
• You know Swift, and are excited for Swift 3.
• You love delighting users with subtle animations and details.
• Expertise in developing/testing/deploying/releasing native iOS applications
• Experience refactoring code and evolving architectures
• Experience crafting automated unit, integration, functional, and regression tests for iOS
• Experience and understanding of a variety of mobile platforms and toolsets that support continuous delivery
• The ability to judge and recommend appropriate platform choices given context about a particular application
• Full lifecycle experience from conceptualization, development to deployment of mobile apps
• Familiarity with multiple programming paradigms and be open to learning new ones
• Techniques such as test-driven development and continuous integration
• Passion and technical curiosity 
• You’re a self-starter and effortless communicator who cares more about solving problems than being right.
• You have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
• You are comfortable working in a distributed environment where your entire team doesn't sit in the same location
• Plus: You have an eye for design and user experience.
